FREE SEARCH · SIMPLE SETUP
Connect once.
Start searching.
Add ssearch to your agent and let it find useful sources. Search is free, with no signup or payment step.
Before you start
Use an agent or app that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP. MCP is how your agent connects to tools like ssearch. Some apps call these connections “connectors” or “custom tools.”
Open your app’s settings and check for a way to add a remote server. An app that only supports local servers cannot use this address directly.
Connection details
Paste this into the server URL field in your agent’s settings.
- Name
- ssearch
- Connection type
- Remote MCP
- Transport
- Streamable HTTP
- Authentication
- None
Save the connection, enable the search tool, and you’re ready to ask your agent a question.
Set it up in three steps
- Add a remote connection.
Open your agent’s Tools, Connectors, or MCP settings. Choose the option to add a remote server and name it ssearch.
- Paste the address and save.
Use
https://ssearch.cc/mcp. If your app asks for a transport, choose Streamable HTTP. Choose None for authentication. Leave credential fields empty. - Enable the tools.
Allow your agent to use the tools discovered from ssearch. The search tool is named
search_web. Start a new chat if your app requires it to load a newly added connection.
Make your first search
Paste this into a chat with your connected agent:
Use ssearch to find Python documentation. Show me up to three relevant pages with their source links.
Look for a ssearch tool call and a response containing source links. If the agent answers without using the tool, ask it explicitly to search with ssearch.
Results come from our ingested index. If a topic has no matches, try a clearer or broader search; an empty result is possible while coverage grows.
If something isn’t working
I can’t find where to add the connection.
Check your app’s documentation for remote MCP, custom connectors, or tools. Your app must support Streamable HTTP connections. If the feature is unavailable in your app or workspace, use a client that supports it.
The connection asks me to sign in.
Create a manual remote connection using the address above and set authentication to None. Remove any saved credentials for the old connection. A directory listing or saved preset may still have older setup requirements.
The connection is saved, but no tools appear.
Check that the address ends in /mcp. Reconnect and let your app discover the tools. Confirm that Streamable HTTP is selected, then restart the chat or app if needed.
My agent answers without searching.
Enable the ssearch tools for the conversation. Try: “Use the ssearch search tool for this question and show me the source links.” Your app may ask you to approve the tool call.
A search is slow or returns an error.
Give the request time to complete. If it times out, wait briefly and retry once. Avoid launching repeated requests while the service is busy. If you see a temporary limit, follow the retry guidance shown by your app.
Connect ssearch, enable the search tool, and ask your next question.
